In the far reaches of the galaxy, rising factions compete for supremacy. You build an empire of facilities, fleets, and colonized sectors - each round brings new cards to market, but your rivals are bidding too.
Two paths lead to victory: cultural prosperity - or military dominance that knocks your opponents out of the game. There are no direct attacks. Whoever skillfully balances income, supply, and military wins.

What sets Hegemon apart
Two paths to victory
Cultural prosperity or military hegemony. But the real game happens between them: the moment someone builds ships, everyone has to react. The pressure alone changes the match - even when no one delivers the final blow.
Bidding wars
One faction marker on a card -> it's yours. Two or more -> blind auction. Sounds simple, but plays intense: you have to read your opponents. And sometimes you bid just to drive up the price.
Building as a puzzle
A third layer of complexity alongside economy and military. Logistics slots, links, planet connections - every card needs its place. Skip the planning and you'll wall off the future of your empire.
No waiting at the table
The building phase runs simultaneously - all players place cards onto their empires at the same time. Even with four players, no long waits, no thumb-twiddling. You're always in the game.
- Not a deckbuilder - placed cards stay in play, no draw luck.
- Not a 4X - no classic exploration, no research.
- Not a combat or war game - military strength acts as leverage, not as a combat mechanic.
How it plays
A simple round-based core mechanic that runs through the following phases:
Income
All players collect ICR according to their current income.
Market
Everyone bids for the cards on offer. Conflicts resolve via blind auction.
Action
Simultaneous building - whatever your hand and tableau allow. Order and slots decide.
